NEW YEARS DAY SPECIAL TOURNAMENT
January 1st, 2012

This specific tournament New Years day will commence at 10:00 AM.  All teams must be present during the opening of the tournament.   There is absolutely no age limt (except under 5 years of age) for this specific tournament, we will be using a double elimination.  The 1st place winning team will be awarded with the first annual New Years Day Tournament Trophy along with a months pass to all open play days at “The Tag Zone”.

Your groups entry will include the following

    • Entry into the New Years Day tournament
    • 15 one hour tickets to any open play which has a retail value of $150.00
    • 10-25% at all participating stores in Des Moines during that day

Today’s price which is only running for the first 100 teams for 149.99

 

 

  • Double elimination.
  • Registration will start at 9am at the Tag Zone, and other nearby restaraunts.
  • The first teams reaching “The Round of 32″ we will open up both fields for each team to play.
  • During the first few rounds both the military field and arena field will be split.
  • Games will be changed frequently with best out of three for each game.
  • Coin toss in the beginning with the winning toss deciding who will choose the game chosen inside the paper bag.

  • Local recognition as the number 1 Nerf Team in Washington State
  • 1st Place trophy
  • A months worth of Open Play on the month the team decides
  • Photos taken and sent to your local school with your trophy being displayed there and your teams photos
  • Plaque displayed in The Tag Zones vicinity that will stay forever

Restrictions: All participants must register in their own age or grade group, there will be an age verification or grade verification of each participant before a tournament will begin. There will be 50-200 teams of 6 players with a maximum of two teams per grade level per school or organization. Teams with 6 players have one substitute player on their roster to prevent forfeiture.

Gameplay: Play for the match begin at “The Tag Zone” on the specified time that is given, each team must arrive one hour prior to check on verification and for proper stretching or strategies. Tournament times may change due to weather conditions.

Prize: The winning team will be awarded the prize that is dedicated to the tournament. The first tournament is a first place prize of $1500 scholarship and various of other prizes that are given to the winners. 2nd and 3rd place awards have yet to be decided at this current moment.

Guns: Only official Nerf guns, modification is ALLOWED. No swords, axes, etc.

Eliminations: If you or anything you are holding or carrying is hit by a dart fired from a gun, you are eliminated for the remainder of the week, unless the dart hit the ground first. All other rebounds count.

Price: The first tournament has a $199.99 dollar entry which includes (2) one hour sessions for all 6 players during open play hours from Monday – Thursday. Along with the entry to the round robin tournament.

Disqualifications: Any obscene language or foul play will eliminate a player at the referees discretion.
